Restaurant plumbing maintenance in NYC
Scheduled grease trap service, drain jetting, water heater care and backflow testing for restaurants in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan. Done before you open or after you close, with the paperwork inspectors ask for.
What we maintain
One plumbing company for the whole kitchen, on a schedule built around your service hours.
Grease trap and interceptor service
Inspection and cleaning of under-sink traps, pumping of larger interceptors through a licensed grease hauler, and a written log for DEP inspections.
Kitchen drain jetting

Required yearly testing by a certified tester, with results filed with DEP.
Sinks and fixtures

Gas lines to cooking equipment
Leak checks, equipment hook-ups and shutoff valves, by a licensed master plumber.
Grease interceptor sizing and replacement
Undersized or damaged interceptors replaced and sized to your kitchen, as DEP requires.
Emergency service
Backed-up drains, no hot water or a gas problem during service. Plan members get priority dispatch.

Ready for inspection
DEP and health inspectors look at grease handling, drainage and hot water. Our visits are built around what they check, and every visit ends with a dated report you can keep on site.
Most kitchen emergencies start as grease. Regular jetting and trap service cost less than one Friday-night backup that closes the dining room.
What inspectors check
- Grease interceptor present, correctly sized and below its rated capacity
- Cleaning records on site
- Dishwasher and floor drains running through the interceptor
- No food waste disposer installed
- Hot water available at handwashing sinks
- Current backflow test filed with DEP

Restaurant plumbing questions
How often should a restaurant grease trap be cleaned in NYC?
As often as needed to keep it below its rated capacity, which is what NYC DEP rules require. For most busy kitchens that means weekly to monthly. We set the schedule from what we find at the first few visits, then adjust it.
Are garbage disposals allowed in NYC restaurants?
No. NYC DEP does not allow food waste disposers in commercial establishments. If one is installed, it should be removed.
Does the dishwasher have to drain through the grease interceptor?
Yes. Under NYC rules, commercial dishwasher discharge and floor drains that can receive grease must flow through the grease interceptor. Water entering the interceptor should not exceed 180°F.
Who can install or replace a grease interceptor?
Only a licensed plumber, under NYC DEP rules. We size it to your kitchen and install it to code.
Do you work before opening or after closing?
Yes. Scheduled maintenance is done outside service hours so the kitchen never has to shut down for it. Emergencies are handled any time.
What paperwork do we get?
A dated service report after every visit: what was cleaned, the condition of the interceptor and lines, and anything that needs attention. Keep these on site for DEP and health inspectors.
Do you test backflow preventers?
Yes. Backflow prevention devices must be tested every year in NYC, and the test results filed with DEP. We schedule the test and handle the filing.
